But what really makes a princess, whether she’s fictional or not, so stunning? We’ve looked to Disney princesses for some answers and found that it comes down to a few key things.
1. You must have royal blood.
A princess is either the daughter of a monarch or the wife of the heir apparent to the throne. This explains why only women who are related to a ruler can be called princesses.
2. You must be well-mannered.
A good princess is always polite and respectful of her elders. She is also thoughtful and respectful of others, especially her friends. This means she’s always ready to help her friends through tough times and treats them fairly.
3. You must know several languages.
A Princess is expected to speak at least a few foreign languages so she can communicate with diplomats from other countries. She is also expected to be able to read and write well. This is to show her intelligence, another important trait of a princess.
4. You must have a courageous and heroic spirit.
A princess needs to be brave enough to face her fears and do the right thing, even if it’s hard. Princesses like Belle and Merida are great examples of this. Merida even sacrificed her own happiness for the sake of saving her mother’s life. This shows that she is a true princess and that we should all try to follow our heart.
