The Princess of Wales

The Princess is a member of the Royal Family. She is married to the Heir Presumptive, Charles, Prince of Wales and mother of the future King of England, Prince William.

Princess has a unique opportunity to raise awareness and promote issues that have a direct impact on the lives of people across the UK. Her Royal Highness spearheads a number of important initiatives such as Heads Together and Shout 85258, the free crisis text line, and supports charities through her programme of official engagements and philanthropic work through The Royal Foundation.

She also has a particular interest in the arts and is a keen photographer. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Her Royal Highness created Hold Still, a photographic portrait project which encouraged people to share their personal experiences of the pandemic.

Throughout her childhood, the Princess was wisely guarded and sheltered, and her personality allowed to develop as it would naturally, unstrained by any undue consciousness of status. She is a woman of great substance, whose knowledge of history and constitutional practice is profound and wide-ranging, and whose character is infused with a quiet strength which she draws on in difficult times.

She and her husband have made it their mission to help those most in need, especially young children and their families. She is also a strong advocate for mental health and has been the driving force behind the reshaping of The Royal Foundation into an organisation that is more focused and effective. She continues to support a range of key charitable interests, championing the importance of mental wellbeing and promoting opportunities through sport and the outdoors.
