The title princess is often given to female members of a royal family or those married to royalty. A princess is also known as a crown princess. The male equivalent of a princess is a prince.
A princess is usually considered more important or valuable than a commoner. A princess can command people to do her bidding. She can be given gifts, money, and even a castle to live in. However, a princess may not be very nice or good at all.
It is a little odd to call a boy princess, because little girls grow up on Snow White and Cinderella, but little boys grow up on Hot Wheels. Is it OK to call a girl a princess, but totally weird to call a boy a prince?

Princess Alice of Battenberg (Victoria Alice Elizabeth Julia Marie; 25 February 1885 – 5 December 1969) was the mother of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and the paternal grandmother of Queen Elizabeth II.
