Princess
A woman whose mother, father, or grandmother is a king, queen, emperor, or other royal head of state. A princess may also be a hereditary sovereign, a head of state in her own right.
The Princess Royal supports Her Majesty the Queen in her role as Head of State, representing her at events in the UK and abroad and attending state and ceremonial occasions alongside other members of the Royal Family. She also takes part in a wide range of charitable and humanitarian work, including visits overseas to support British business and culture.
In this way, she is a role model for young people and shows them how to be a good citizen. She is an expert horsewoman and regularly competes in the Horse of the Year Show. She is a Patron of the British Olympic Association and has supported Team GB at the Olympics in recent years, as well as visiting the London 2012 Olympic Park to meet athletes ahead of the Games.
She is also an ambassador for the Commonwealth, visiting nations to promote the interests of the Royal Family and British business. In this role, she meets with heads of state and business leaders from around the world.
She is an inspiration to many young people, as she showed that it is possible to be a princess and have a normal life at the same time. For example, she took her children to Mcdonalds and even a homeless shelter. This made her a very popular princess, as the public felt that she was a real person and someone they could relate to.
