A princess is a daughter of a king or queen. Usually she is the wife of a prince. However, there are also princesses who are not married to a prince.

Princesses have played a very important role in history. In fact, a princess may have the right to inherit a country’s throne in her own right. If the king dies without a male heir, the princess will become the ruler of the country.

Princess Anne, known as a fashion icon, was a notable member of the British royal family. She was known for her charitable work and philanthropic projects. During her marriage, she served as president of more than 100 charities. Her charitable efforts included working with children and the homeless.

In addition to her work with children, she was a patron of the English National Ballet and the Leprosy Mission. She also continued her commitment to the Hospital for Sick Children. Throughout her career, she was known for her public appearances on major national occasions.

The Princess of Wales, as she was known, joined the Royal Family on many official visits to other countries. After her marriage, she visited Norway, Brazil, India, Italy and South Korea.

In 1988, Diana and Prince of Wales traveled to Brazil to celebrate their bicentennial. They also took a 12-day cruise on the Royal Yacht HMY BRITANNIA. Their first son, Prince William, was born.

In 1983, the Princess of Wales accompanied the Prince of Wales on a tour of Australia. While there, she was president of the English National Ballet and the Hospital for Sick Children.
