A princess is a girl who has many servants to do her bidding and is generally looked up to and fawned over by everyone. She may also be a brat who expects to get everything she wants and has no real grip on reality.
The queen decides to test this young lady’s claim that she is a true princess. She offers her a bed covered with 20 huge mattresses with a pea at the bottom of each one. When the young lady awakens in the morning, she narrates that she had a very sleepless night as there was something hard under each mattress. She finally accepts the fact that she is indeed a princess.
This is a very short story that talks about the importance of being kind and having friends. It also emphasizes how it is important to be brave and to have a good heart.
