Who is a Princess?

princess

The term princess is used to describe a woman member of the royal family and the wife of a prince, and it can also be applied to a noblewoman. Princesses have a lot of power and status, as they are usually heir apparent to a monarch’s throne, or a reigning queen consort. Princesses have also been hereditary rulers of principalities, although this is rare since most of these countries exclude women from inheriting the throne.

Those who are called princesses are often loved and valued by those around them. They are often known for their good looks and grace as well as their love for others. The term “princess” can also be a bit of a diva, as it tends to be used for people who have high expectations and are quite demanding.

Princess Alice Elizabeth Julia Marie was the mother of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and grandmother of the current Queen. She was a highly respected figure in the UK and is considered one of Britain’s greatest sovereigns. She was an accomplished humanitarian and was president or patron of over 100 charities, focusing on work on behalf of homeless people, children, disabled people, the Leprosy Mission and AIDS. She was also a strong supporter of the British Armed Forces and appeared on many public occasions with her husband and sons. She was the ‘people’s princess’ as she had the ability to reach out and touch the lives of so many people in a warm and caring way.
